Not sure if you've given up on Arknights, but that's pretty F2P friendly, just have to invest time into understanding which operators do things best. Chapter 7 came out and it was pretty difficult, even for someone like me who's pretty decked out.
Love Live All Stars is surprisingly fun. It's not a difficult rhythm gacha to get into but can be pretty deep, the art is beautiful and I love all the songs.
