Are we sure is a new work? Two months ago in an interview Kubo he had no interest in starting a new series. How can he come up with an idea in one month or less?
It doesn't necessarily have to be a pitch for a new series. For all we know, the one shot could be an old concept Kubo has had for a good while and is something he simply wants to get out there. Just one of those ideas hes had thats interesting but hasn't had the time to develop into fullblown idea for a series, or something like that.

With the whole 50th Year Anniversary Project going on and other authors doing their own one shots, it could simply result in several authors throwing ideas around with each other, seeing whatever creative concepts they've come up with in their spare times.

It wouldn't be all too surprising since Kubo's manga career basically started with him doing one-shots for a living.

Is Kubo going to have another interview on the TBS Radio? There is this section that mentions Bleach and Kubo on WSJ site's page dedicated to its 50th anniversary and offers a link to the TBS Radio (the main paragraph on that page, based on Google translation, just describes what the radio show is about - celebration of WSJ's 50th anniversary).

~ https://sp.shonenjump.com/j/50th/ (Scroll down until you see 『BLEACH』and date Feb 05th 2018).

Nope. That radio program also releasing one page interview between the MC (Sandwich-man (popular comedian duo in Japan)) and the mangaka. For part 10, they are doing interview with Kubo Tite (it is pretty much for extra stuffs which they did when Kubo appeared to the radio on November).

The next person who is appearing to the actual radio is Ohishi Kouji (author of Tomatoypoo no Lycopene), it is written on the link you provided.

Thanks for the clarification. :h5 And it would've been strange if Kubo had 2 interviews on that radio station in the span of just couple of months when there are many authors who wrote and drew for Jump in the past 50 years.

When you look the link, it is written as "vol.10," which mean Kubo isn't only one who get special treatment. The past mangakas who appeared that radio before Kubo had exactly same thing. It is just chronologically Kubo's turn for this week.

The upcoming Boku no Hero Academia data-book will feature an interview between Horikoshi Kohei and Kubo Tite.

Source:
My Hero Academia’s new character book titled “Ultra Analysis!” Will be released October 4, 2019 It will include a special collaboration interview with Horikoshi & Tite Kubo (BLEACH).

Here is another tweet announcing Boku no Hero Academia's 2nd databook "Ultra Analysis". The tweet mentions the interview with Kubo. I don't know what exactly it says, but I suppose it's a pretty standard announcement. The cover is really nice in my opinion.

This is the illustration from the Horikoshi and Kubo interview that is released within Boku no Hero Academia Official Databook Ultra Analysis Volume 2:

Ichigo wears the U.A. student uniform here. :amuse

I found the illustration here: https://old.reddit.com/r/bleach/comments/dct22b/kohei_horikoshi_x_tite_kubo_special_drawing_from/

The interview hasn't been translated anywhere yet, but @shibuyasmash summarized a portion of it. There is an entire thread of notes and this is the first one that mentions the interview: https://twitter.com/shibuyasmash/status/1180097894998671360

Kubo x Horikoshi Interview:

~ Wholesome. Fun to see them talk about how different generations of Jump always feel the "most interesting" to readers. To Kubo, his generation worried they couldn't live up to the golden age they read growing up (Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk).

~ But to Horikoshi, he grew up with the three pillars of Oda, Kishimoto, and Kubo, and thought Jump was great then. Kubo talks about how to each generation the Jump they're reading growing up feels like it's the most interesting.

~ Horikoshi used to draw Bleach inspired art, like characters with his own original designed zanpakuto swords. Kubo wants to see but Horikoshi doesn't think he has any left since it was just in random notebooks.

~ Kubo says Horikoshi should have sent some drawings in fan mail, since he's saved all his fan mail. Overall they talk a lot about the art of writing manga-- how they think of lines, scenes, names, characters, etc.

~ In the past Horikoshi was worried what his strong point was and asked Kubo and he immediately told him "Your art of course". Kubo forgot about this but agrees with his past self.

~ Characters they like-- Horikoshi likes Mayuri, Kubo likes Kaminari and Mirio. Horikoshi comments people get the impression Kaminari is weak but his power is actually really strong.

~ Horikoshi says his Quirk is "Sleep" & he wants the Quirk "Not Needing Sleep". Kubo says his Quirk is "Can Eat A Lot of Good Food Without Feeling Sick" & wishes he had the Quirk "Everything Becomes 0 Calories". So "Quirk: Zero Calories".

Thanks for this information. Personally, I'm not sure if this particular collaboration will work long. I know I didn't mind My Hero Academia as a series at first, but the more I have researched it, the more I discovered that it seems to go against a lot of the things that make Bleach so great. Specifically, I had said that this series felt too safe and too G-rated, but in retrospect this isn't a good thing, especially with anime. Bleach is so tough, edgy, and cool as a series. Yes, it pushes boundaries, but this is part of the reason why I love it. I know I was curious about MHA for its unique art style but in retrospect, I wish I had never gotten into it. This overly safe tone could spread elsewhere and I would hate to see Kubo lose his edge as an author.

Of course, this is merely my personal opinion. Feel free to disagree with any part of it. Hopefully, all will be fine and it will simply be a one time thing.

Thanks for a reply and I definitely respect your opinions. I will just say that no collaboration between Kubo and Horikoshi had been decided upon and announced. This was just an interview between the two authors that was published in Boku no Hero Academia's latest data-book/fan-book.

Horikoshi has had a similar interview with the author of One Piece, Oda Eichiro, if I remember correctly.
