So as you all may know, it is almost Christmas time. This is my favorite Holiday. It means a lot to me and my family. While spending time with family and friends is the most important aspect of Christmas, I'm sure that we can all agree that Christmas presents are great and have brought us and will continue to bring us many great memories.

So, in this thread, post your favorite Christmas presents that you have received so far. It can be any year, however many gifts per year, and in whatever format you want to list them in. You can list your favorite ones so far, or you can list all of them.

Dude, it's November :suspicion

Mid-November.

I reserve the right to remain cranky and free of the christmas spirit until at least the end of the first week in December :hm

Having said that, the best christmas present I ever recieved....hrm....tough one. I'm notoriously hard to shop for, so people always have trouble getting my gifts. Anything I want, I usually just buy myself, so people are left looking into trinkets for me. My brother is usually the most successful in this regard, as he had a talent for remember things that people will mention in passing months previously and suddenly springing something relevant to it on Christmas.

I love Three Kingdoms Era china. I love movies about it, I love video games about it, I love reading about what we know about the official history of the time. But I've never actually read Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Getting a hold of all the volumes is a pain in the ass (in this country, anyway), but one christmas he managed to scrounge up the first three volumes of it for me. It was quite touching that he sought out something that he knew I was interested in without having to be prompted or steered in the right direction *cough*likemydaddoes*cough*.

Christmas time started 2 months ago at Kmart! :XD Christmas is the time to rob the Christmas tree of every single sugary treat hiding between every light, under every garland, and covered in every tinsel! *Insert drooling emoticon* Liberating the tree of its candy canes, Snickers, Mars, Twix, and Oatmeal pies is one of my favorite past times! :XD

There was one year where my mom decided to pack the tree with what looked like 200 candy canes as sugary merriment deterrent, but it didn't work. It took me until the following September (along with eating all the Valentine's Day, Cadbury Eggs, and whatnot) to finish them all! She….didn't do that again. :lmao

I always got clothes for Christmas, but my favorite one was the one I bought for myself: FF 7 for the PSone. I still have the original receipt (though mostly faded) and the copy! :XD

The most favorite Christmas gift I've given is a new dress for my mom. I took a coupon that I got in the mail and we all pitch in and got it. She was so happy! :wtf

My I love Christmas but the past couple years have been disappointing.

They havn't been bad, but for almost thirty years of my life Christmas has been the biggest day of the year. Since my family doesn't get along I had like three christmases. My Mom's side of the family has never liked me so the company wasn't great but we would stay up padt midnight playing games so it was a lot of fun.

Christmas morning we'd go to my Grandmother's place for a huge Christmas breakfast then lots of perfectly wrapped gifts under a beautiful tree. Then dinner and after that she'd fire to the pudding that and we all sing around it. I didn't actually like the pudding- I'm not sure anyone did- They just loved it as an excuse to eat lots of hard sauce ( It's like...something between whip cream and frosting)

But now the only people we cared about on my Mom's side are dead and the rest of us have families of our own who hate each other and are too busy " being the bigger person" to get along for tone day. My grandmother doesn't want to deal with it and I don't blame her.

Christmas was something I used to look forward to every and year the idea that it's just another day is something I couldn't accept.
So now I make my own Christmas for a few good friends. I make extra boozey egg nogg and good food and they all appreciate it.

It isn't much but It doesn't have to be. Really, what's more important? a small gathering of people you care about, or a great party with a bunch of thoutghtless gifts bought out of obligation from some strangers?

Hmm..my favorite gift. That would be a mother of pearl necklace that my Aunt got me the year I died from kidney failure.

It's bauetiful but I love it because of what my aunt told me. She knew I felt bad, because all of my cousins were bragging about thier successes that year, and The only thing interesting was that I'd gotten sick. My aunt gave me the necklace and explained that mother of pearl is created when a pearl is put under a lot stress and and cracks open. She said that most consider them less valuable because they're flawed, but she believes thier more beautiful because they have so much more character.

Corny? Yah, a little, but things like that always are in real life. Still, it meant a lot.
My God that was...11 years ago and I still have it.

I don't think I really have a favorite Christmas present, I've always enjoyed the general atmosphere of the holiday the most. Warm and quiet by the fire, candlelit Christmas dinner and all that jazz. Our family get togethers have always been small but I preferred them that way, less noise, more time with who you're close with.

My least favorite gift, however, was coming home to our door kicked open and our Christmas presents stolen :nonchalance.

Recent Christmas years haven't been so good due to poor family matters, and eveyone including myself would rather be off on their own somewhere. So the best overall gift for me would be when everyone actually enjoyed the season & the holidays. Back when mostly everybody was happy and the holiday itself felt meaningful. I miss when it was the most relaxing time of the year.

As for my favorite personal gift, I'd have to say that it was my personal tea set ordered from overseas. Just felt so exotic (@ delicious) compared to everything else I ever got so I loved it.

Deciding on my favorite Christmas present is incredibly difficult. I'm really happy any time that Crimson and I just get to spend the holidays (and my December birthday) together. Probably my most treasured Christmas presents have also come from him. One year, he bought our family a PS3 and gave me his copy of Final Fantasy XIII, which is the first game I ever completed on the PS3. So that copy of Final Fantasy XIII is one. The following Christmas, we went to the Mall of America to do our Christmas shopping together, and his present to me was a life-size, full metal, no fake parts, Kingdom Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. So it's really hard deciding between the two of them. Overall, though, I consider Crimson the most precious blessing in my life. :)

But I still love Lightning, Hope, and my Keyblade a lot. :D

I swear to god, Gohara, you gotta be trolling us.

It's not even Thanksgiving!

I don't celebrate Christmas, nor did I receive any gifts for it. I do however like to watch the Grinch cartoon on Christmas Day with a bowl of cereal in chocolate milk :fu

Typically, I'd agree with this. ( Saw a movie last night and every friggen add was for X'mas. made me sad.)

But since Gohara is not advertising to us ,I'll let this one go.
